ADMINISTRATION


Town Council appoints two officials; the administrator and clerk.

The Town Administrator serves as the chief administrative officer. He is responsible for implementing ordinances and programs adopted by Town Council, developing and administering the annual budget, personnel and purchasing policies, and advising Council of the Town's financial condition. As Town Administrator, he also recommends policies, conducts strategic planning, and maintains intergovernmental relations.

Town Clerk is the contact person on matters of municipal law, administrative issues, and procedural questions. The Town Clerk is the municipal election officer, archives officer, editor of the Surfsider, and is responsible for ordinance codification. Clerk also attends and records minutes for all council meetings; drafts ordinances and polices; and provides administrative support for council .
