About Us

The Town of Surfside Beach Recreation Department is responsible for oversight of Town's recreational facilities, programs, and events. The Department consists of a Parks & Recreation division, Athletics division, and the Dick M. Johnson Civic Center. From the upkeep and maintenance of our beautiful parks to providing opportunities to improve fitness, education, and social skills through a variety of community-based events and activities, the Town of Surfside Beach Recreation Department is directly responsible for a variety of essential duties that help to both revitalize the community and enrich the lives of our residents and visitors alike.
