Traffic & Speed Enforcement

The Surfside Beach Department of Public Safety is asking residents who are concerned with speeding cars in their neighborhoods to call SBDPS to request a traffic enforcement for their street.

Officers will supply the radar trailer and provide additional enforcement patrols in identified problem areas. Although the radar trailer will not eliminate a speeding violator, it may deter some offenders when police are not present. This Department is determined to address the concerns of its residents on this issue and we want to make a difference in your neighborhood.

You may put in your request for the radar trailer by calling Lt. Arron Miller at (843) 913-6345 or Detective Joseph Matyjasik at (843) 913-6346. We will make every attempt to place the radar trailer on your street as soon as possible.
