COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE DAY
 
Residential Resource Forum for all Horry County Residents Impacted by
Hurricane Matthew and the Subsequent Flooding
 
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 27th 12:00 Noon - 7:00pm

As our community begins to recover from the effects of Hurricane Matthew we want to make sure that our constituents have access to all the disaster relief resources they need. THIS THURSDAY, October 27th several government agencies and organizations from around our community will be at Socastee Baptist Church (Fellowship Hall) to assist those impacted by recent weather events. This forum will provide a one-stop location of available disaster relief assistance.

PARTICIPANTS:

Other entities will likely be added as we continue working through the planning process.)
 
Federal Emergency Management Agency
Will be onsite to answer questions and assist with registration for FEMA assistance.
 
Small Business Administration
Will be onsite to answer questions regarding the SBA and resources they can provide.
 
United States Senator Lindsey Graham's Office
Will be onsite to answer questions and assist with navigating federal assistance programs.
 
SC Department of Insurance
Will be onsite to answer insurance related questions.
 
SC Department of Employment and Workforce
Will be onsite to answer questions regarding possible temporary unemployment benefits due to the disaster.
 
SC Department of Social Services
Will be onsite to assist with possible replacement SNAP benefits and answer questions.
 
SC Department of Health & Human Services
Will be onsite to assist with possible Medicaid eligibility and answer questions.
 
SC Department of Health & Environmental Control
Will be onsite to answer questions regarding tetanus shots, well water testing, and all other pertinent questions.

Help4Kids / Backpack Buddies of Horry County

We will provide food for attendees from 12:00 Noon - 2:00pm
& again from 5:00pm - 7:00pm courtesy of AJ's Pizza of Myrtle Beach.
 
Coffee & donuts will also be available throughout the day.
