The BBQ Festival was a huge hit. There were over 70 vendors and everyone had a good time. Special thanks to Lonnie, Craig and Wade from Public Works that did a great job behind the scenes to made sure the day was super fun, safe and clean.
The results of the BBQ competition were as follows:
3rd Place – House of Bar-B-Que
2nd Place – Coastal BBQ
1st Place -Smoking Down South BBQ
The Surfside Beach Business Committee invites business owners, managers & commercial property owners to come and enjoy refreshments and conversation with members of the Business Committee and learn how they can help you and your business. This will take place on Thursday, March 23 from 5:30 pm – 7:30 p.m. at the Surfside Beach Oceanfront Hotel, 15 South Ocean Boulevard, Surfside Beach. RSVP required by March 20th. The Town has be having conversations with SCDOT about trying to remove the barricades along the service road on the west side of 17 Business. We are exploring the possibility of alternatives that have a better look to improve the 17 Business Corridor.
Daylight Savings Time is this Sunday, March 12th. Do not forget to turn your clocks forward one hour at 2:00 a.m. This means that it will start getting darker later in the evening.
Mark your calendars to attend the Arbor Day Ceremony on April 28th at 10:00 am. The location will be the north side of the Surfside Beach Fire Station next to the skate park.
The Keep Surfside Beach “Yard of the Month” will start beginning in April. Get your yards ready. This is going to be a great year with all of the beautiful yards in town. Be the change…make a difference…..
