On Wednesday, August 10th, I will be at the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce for the ribbon cutting of one of Surfside Beach’s newest businesses. “Pet Wants of South Myrtle” is a mobile business that offers free, personal delivery of nutritious pet food products through their nutrition and wellness regimen. The Pet Wants booth is at the Tuesday Farmers Market in Memorial Park. Stop by and check them out or visit their website: https://www.petwants.com/southmyrtle/home.
I am sure that most of you have heard that our Public Works employees made the baskets that are hanging throughout the town. Here is a video on how they are made. https://fb.watch/eI9pacntgx/ Special thanks to KSBB.
Congratulations to the August Yard-of-the-Month winner, Barry and Mitzi Skipper at 339 15th Ave South. We thank them for helping Keep Surfside Beach beautiful. The September Yard-of-the-Month nominations are due August 15th. Send your nominations via PM on Facebook or email KeepSurfsideBeachBeautiful@gmail.com.
Music in the Park will feature NTRANZE this Sunday, August 7th starting at 4 p.m. in Memorial Park.
Bring a chair and enjoy the time with your neighbors. I’m keeping my fingers crossed we will get a nice ocean breeze.
The start of the school year is a reminder to us that our summer is winding down, somewhat. There are special efforts throughout our local businesses to help ensure the children get all the supplies they need to make the start of their year a good one. Your support is a great help.
The Surfside Beach “Employee Appreciation Day” will be held on September 7th. Details will be forthcoming.
To the best of my recollection, this will be the first employee recognition event for Surfside Beach and I want to give a special thank you to the resident who made this suggestion at a town council meeting earlier this year. Please plan to attend. I hope to see you there!
BE INFORMED, GET INVOLVED, and HELP BE THE CHANGE!
Thank You
Stay safe and God Bless!
