Mayor Hellyer’s Daily Update
November 12, 2020
The Veterans Day Event went very well despite the intermittent rain. Remember, you can have a plaque added to the Veterans Wall for someone that has served in the military. You can receive further information at Town Hall. There is a $50.00 fee. This is a great way to honor our veterans.
All of the street lights and street signs are now illuminated. Special thanks to John Adair for keeping on top of things.
Pizza Hyena is helping South Strand Helping Hands to restock their pantry with a can drive. Through November 21st, bring your canned goods, nonperishable food items, and/or monetary donations to Pizza Hyena. Each item donated will get you one entry into their drawing party being held on Saturday, November 21st from 4 PM to 6 PM where you can win a weekend at a local beach house, courtesy of Surfside Realty Company.
KSBB is sponsoring a Food Drive for South Strand Helping Hand next week: Monday 11/9 - Thursday 11/12. You can drop off (curbside) 8 am-6 pm Mon-Thurs at any of the addresses listed below. ***In addition to non-perishable food items, we are also accepting LEFTOVER HALLOWEEN CANDY***
